Every month, every transaction in every account is categorized, and every bank, card and loan account is reconciled to its statement to the cent. The result is a P&L and balance sheet that will not change later, delivered to your Financial Cents portal with a summary from your bookkeeper.

Any transaction we cannot categorize without your input is added to a short list of questions for you.

Months or years behind, or books that exist but cannot be trusted. We rebuild them year by year from bank and card statements, reconcile every account, and hand you a clean starting balance before the first monthly close begins.

Pricing starts at $150 for each month the books are behind, with a $450 minimum. We review the file first, then send a fixed written quote with half due up front. The quoted fee does not change once work begins.

Vendor bills are entered and scheduled for your approval. Customer invoices go out on time and are followed up when they are late. Every week you get an aging report showing who you owe and who owes you, so cash flow stops being a surprise.

Payroll is administered inside your own Gusto account. We prepare each pay run for your approval, keep employee and contractor records current, prepare year-end W-2 and 1099 information for Gusto to produce, and map every run into the books each cycle so payroll and the P&L always agree.

1 to 5 employees is $29 a month plus $4 per employee per month, for up to 2 pay runs a month. 6 to 15 employees is $49 a month plus $4 per employee per month, with unlimited pay runs and year-end 1099 information for up to 5 contractors. 16 or more is quoted. An off-cycle or bonus pay run is $20, an additional state is $10 per state per month, 1099 information beyond 5 contractors is $5 per contractor, and garnishment setup and tracking is $10 per garnishment per month. There is no payroll setup fee, and Gusto bills its own subscription.

We price payroll close to our cost. You pay Gusto directly for the software, and our fee just covers running your pay runs and keeping them matched to your books.

Gusto calculates, withholds, deposits and files, as the licensed payroll provider. Payroll funds never touch JMH, and JMH is not a reporting agent and submits nothing to any tax agency.

A clean file from day one: a chart of accounts built for your business, bank and card feeds connected, opening balances entered and checked, and a walkthrough so you know where to look. If you are on neither QuickBooks nor Xero, that is normal, and we will tell you honestly which one fits.

Quick questions about your books, under 15 minutes in business hours, are part of every plan. Advisory is the longer conversation: reading your reports before a meeting, working through cash flow, building a budget, deciding what your software should do. Scheduled sessions are $65 an hour in 30 minute blocks, with the person who already knows your file.

Advisory covers bookkeeping and business-finance questions only. It is never tax advice; a tax question goes to your CPA, and we will say so.
