Pricing questions
More on How we work.
Two businesses on the same plan can have very different months: one bank account or six, forty transactions or four hundred. The starting price covers the accounts, transactions and entities listed under the plan. After the free call we know your volume and send a written rate that stays fixed until your books grow past a cap, and even then the new rate is quoted in writing before anything changes.
Solo suits a business running on one bank account and one card with no employees. Essentials adds accounts and a monthly balance sheet. Growth fits businesses with bills to pay, invoices to chase and a team. Portfolio is for more than one entity or books that need lender and investor reporting. If you are between two, we will recommend the lower one and tell you what would change our mind.
Neither. Onboarding is included in every monthly plan, and every plan runs month to month with 30 days written notice. Catch-up projects and standalone software setups are one-time flat fees with no ongoing commitment.
From $150 for each month the books are behind, with a $450 minimum. We look at the file first, then give a fixed written quote before any work starts, with half due up front. The fee does not change if the work turns out to be messier than expected.
Not for quick ones. Questions about your books that take under 15 minutes, Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm ET, are part of every plan and answered within 30 minutes. Scheduled advisory sessions, for reading your reports, cash flow, budgeting or software, are $65 an hour in 30 minute blocks; Growth includes 1 hour a month and Portfolio 3. Advisory is never tax advice; tax questions go to your CPA.
No. JMH does no tax work of any kind. Every plan ends the year with a package for your own CPA: full-year P&L and balance sheet, general ledger, trial balance, fixed asset records and loan balances. If you do not have a CPA, we can point you to one.
